Paraiso Beach Club Big Corn Island, Nicaragua
Big Corn Island in the Caribbean might be one of the last untouched paradises. It is located about 70 km from the cost of Nicaragua and it is surrounded by white clean beaches and wonderful snorkeling and diving spots. The Island is full with exotic fruit trees, native palm trees and it was a haven for pirates and buccaneers in the 17th century. An untold number of shipwrecks and treasures still lay scattered along the turquoise shores. The islanders, descendant from the original British prospectors and freed slaves, make their living from harvesting lobster and fish from the prolific, offshore fishing banks. Many Miskito Indians from the nearby "Miskito Coast" as well as Nicaraguans from the "mainland" have moved to Corn Island in recent years, diversifying the population and languages overheard on the island. Still, the laid back atmosphere and lifestyle seems to overtake anyone who visits Corn Island.
Paraiso Beach Hotel, with Excellence award from Trip Advisor, is a well known Big Corn Island resort in Nicaragua.
All accommodations, bungalows, are located about 60 meters from the beach and all rooms are decorated in traditional Nicaraguan style. They are made to make you feel right at home. On site you also have a typical Nicaraguan rancho which serves as our out door yoga deck and a restaurang that offers healthy, nutritious and delicious vegetarian food. Fresh sea food like lobster, shrimps or fish are also big part of the menu.
Right in front of Paraiso's beach it's very good snorkelling, even for beginners. The sunken ships provide shelter for many different species of reef fish.
We organize regular snorkelling trips around Corn Island or to Little Corn Island. Fishing, golfcar tours, diving or biking are all options you might want to explore.
We are looking forward to welcome you to undiscovered Corn Island and stay at our lovely place!
The program is an all-inclusive, comprehensive training with the purpose to make you a knowledgeable teacher for beginner students. The program focuses on the traditional primary series in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. You will also be introduced to the modified primary series to suit the needs of the beginner students, the mixed level for groups with different skill levels and the creative intermediate series, Rocket, created by Larry Schultz.
