Ancient Indian science of healing
Ayurveda derived from the two meaningful lexis Ayur and Veda (Ayur means life and Veda is knowledge or Sceince) which when combined together, crafts the word “Ayurveda” or the Science of Life.
Ayurveda therapy focuses on eradicating disease from its roots. The is to do away with the basic cause of the disease, and also no new ailment should emerge as a consequence.
Ayurveda is an Alternative and Holistic therapeutic ancient science which finds its magnitude with providing an individual absolute oneness with nature. Ayurveda is the wise insight of living the life naturally, simply inculcating ayurveda diet and life style modifications is easy and sure way to gain mental balance and a life full of health, vigor and vitality.

Immersed in nature to discover the greenest region of the State of Kerala. During the tour will alternate cultural and naturalistic routes, because one of the deepest values of the Centre is the respect of the traditions of tribal peoples, nature and conservation of places. The aim of the tour is to raise awareness of an ancient culture that mass tourism and globalization are increasingly defacing the flattening of the uses and customs.
HOW TO GET THERE
Arrival at Calicut (ccj) transport to the Vedaguru Center of Wayanad (approx. 3 hour trip, including a stopover).

Lush vegetation surrounds the center and offers numerous opportunities for long walks through the plantations of bananas, coconut palms, various medicinal plants and spices; from Vedaguru are just spellbound places along the Lake with Lotus flowers; some small village inhabited by tribes, small temples dedicated to Vishnu and Dravidian and much more.

- Breakfast is served after the yoga follows the local tradition: fresh fruit and masala Chai (spices, tea and milk) that accompany the main course
- Lunch and dinner are served in the terrace restaurant overlooking the Lake, are made from vegetables accompanied by different types of bread and rice including the paratha and chapati prepared on site daily.
Indian cuisine is very tasty thanks to the use of many spices available in the territory. It makes extensive use of cumin, coriander, black pepper, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, anise, cardamom. One of the main dishes is the “daal (lentil based) served with yogurt. Don’t miss the fresh fruit of which we have many varieties: pineapple, watermelon, mango, papaya, bananas, coconuts and much more depending on the season.
All ingredients used within the Vedaguru Centre (spices, tea, coffee, milk, vegetables, yoghurt) are cultivated, harvested and consumed on the premises. If you have any allergy or special request, please advise prior to arrival at the Centre.
THINGS TO REMEMBER ON YOUR VISIT
Vaccine: For travel in India there is no obligation to vaccinate. Malaria in Kerala it is low risk, but increases during the monsoon period and post monsoons. We recommend the use of insect repellent and mosquito nets (of which the Center is provided). Always follow the instructions and keep a correct preventive hygiene. The first tip is to not drink water unless bottled, and avoid consuming raw vegetables and fruit not piled on the streets and in restaurants. It is good to carry a small stock of medicines and essential.
Currency: The official monetary unit in India is the Indian rupee (INR), divided into 100 Paisa. Credit cards are accepted in shops, hotels and tourist centers of interest.
