The Field RetreatThe Field Retreat is an old French farmhouse and smallholding, re-furbished as a beautiful and tranquil retreat space.
There are simple rooms for up to 8 or 10 persons and lots of extra space for camping.
There is a guest kitchen if you like to cook yourself, and also the possibility to have vegan food made for you by our wonderful vegan chef.
We have a plunge pool and will soon have a beautiful natural pool also.
There are gardens with fruit trees and a vegetable patch with - weather permitting - lots of fresh vegetables and herbs.
There is a breathtaking view out over the countryside from almost everywhere on the property and plenty of cosy nooks to sit and relax and be one with nature. The whole farm has an amazing feeling of peace and tranquility.
If you are up for exploring, there is plenty to do close by, including canoeing, castles, markets, basket weaving, wine tasting, tree adventures, walks, swimming, a maze and a zip-line.
There are cafe's, banks, a post office, two small supermarkets and a tiny french cinema at the local village, which is only 10 mins drive away.
The Field Retreat runs its' own retreats, and is open to others wishing to rent the space to host their own retreats or artists workshops.
We are able to run residency weeks for artists that need some peace and quiet to work and have a yoga/pilates/dance studio available on site. There will soon be a much larger second studio space also.
If you have an idea for a themed retreat, don't hesitate to ask.

The Field is an Eco, back-to-basics farmhouse in France, where you can come to relax, learn, unwind and get closer to nature.
Everything here has been built or renovated responsibly, using reclaimed and repurposed items and materials.
The entire site and grounds have a friendly, cosy and restorative atmosphere that lends itself perfectly to the activities planned throughout the spring and summer.
Our Yoga, Pilates and Vegan Cooking retreats are a wonderful balance of the three activities defined by you. You can join in with the parts you wish to each day or take a break to relax or go explore.
There is also time set aside for individual questions should you wish to work on specific things or simply want to focus more.......And, of course still be plenty of time for sightseeing, relaxing, jumping in the pool, being creative or crafty, strolling around the gardens or just enjoying the view.
We provide delicious Vegan meals, all included in the package. Those guests interested in learning how to cook the easy Vegan recipes are welcome to join the chef to see how it's done or to dive in and help out.
Should you, however wish to make your own creation, there is a guest kitchen for your use and a supermarket only 6 mins away.
So as not to distract anyone wishing to have a healthy diet week, we do not provide alcoholic beverages. However, those guests that wish to immerse themselves in the French wine-dinner traditions are very welcome to do so.
Wednesday or Thursday are optional extra activity days. There are several different options, including a guided walk through the forest to Les Pierres Jaumâtres, a trip to the local market, or perhaps Boussac Château.
There are also many more activities that happen throughout the year, so please contact us to find out more or make a request. It is best to do this before you arrive, as some activities need advance booking.
