8 DAY JOURNEY THROUGH MACHU PICCHU AND THE SACRED VALLEY AND CUSCO
Are you ready to open a new door in the journey of this life and have a powerful and life changing experience?
Inner Journeys Travel invites you experience your sacred spiritual journey with us 8 days in the sacred Andean Mountains of Peru.
The journey begins in Cusco, the ancient center of the Inca civilization. We will be met by our Maestro Tour Guides. They will guide us deep into the heart of the Andes and visit the sacred sites. These are wonderful locations of high energy frequencies. You will be able to gather your energies in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, astronomically aligned with the celestial Milky Way. You will have the opportunity to experience Mother Earth’s sacred plants and the world of Andean spirituality in sacred Inca tradition.
The Maestro knows the importance of the art of living well and the essence of walking in a sacred manner just as the wise ancestors of the Andes did. This is an art of living that honors existence, celebrates creation and the gift of life, and gives thanks and praise, and that gives strength and effort towards personal growth and transformation. The opening up of space and experience that promotes self-realization, transcending our limitations and breaking new ground to reveal our infinite gifts and potential as individual flowers and manifestations of One divine consciousness.
The journey continues as you ascend to the ancestral gateway of Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley are among some of the most sacred places on earth, abundant with nature’s spirituality.
1. OVERVIEW OF MACHU PICCHU, THE SACRED VALLEY AND CUSCO
As you fly over the department of Cusco you will see the magnificent slopes of the Andes Mountains, its valleys and lakes and you may even see some small villages. The city of Cuzco sits at an altitude of 11,200 ft above sea level. Cuzco is the ancient center of the Inca civilization (Tawantinsuyo) that spanned much of South America. Cusco was declared as the Archeological Capital of the Americas in 1933 and a Cultural Heritage of the World in 1978.
We will be greeted at the Cusco Airport by our Maestro (shaman) Tour Guides and they will take us directly our hotel. We will tour the city of Cusco and the Sacred Valley at a leisurely pace. We will visit the sites of Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, Sacsayhuaman, and the Temple of the Moon, and the Heart of the Condor.
The Sacred Valley is blessed with the Urubamba/Vilcanota River, the quality of its fertile soils, the richness and diversity of its flora and fauna, its benevolent and consistent climate, and its beauty. The Sacred Valley is associated with the cosmos; it is an astronomical depiction of the celestial Milky Way including its constellations and stars; and, also some of the Inca’s ancestors and spiritual guardians. The ancient design and construction of the architectural sites in the Sacred Valley represent the constellations in the Milky Way, and the Urubamba River running through it corresponds to the River of stars in the sky. These places have been identified long ago to hold high frequencies of unseen vibrations - the natural energy of the Earth Mother. Sacred sites have been built on these places that amplify the natural energy. At one time a paradisal antiquated community lived in the Sacred Valley.
We will spend a few days in the Sacred Valley in a small town where you will feel like time has stopped. You will explore the sanctuary ruins of Ollantaytambo whose construction represents a celestial constellation and learn of its spiritual, astronomical and administrative importance to the Inca.
We will ascend Machu Picchu! an ancient sacred ceremonial center deep in the Sacred Valley surrounded by a huge tropical forest of majestic mountains with spectacular scenery and rich and varied diversity of habitats, flora and fauna. Machu Picchu is considered sacred for many reasons among them because its location is within concentric circles of sacred mountains and it is an island mountain surrounded by the Urubamba/Vilcanota River at its base. Machu Picchu contains many hundreds of stone structures which include astronomical observatories, pyramids, temples, palaces, baths, over 150 houses, storage rooms and agricultural terraces. Also known as the Crystal City because of its great quantities of quartz crystal, known to have higher frequencies. The construction of the Sanctuary is in complete harmony with the physical and cyclical aspects of nature. In 2007, the New 7 Wonders Foundation designated Machu Picchu one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
When we return to the city of Cusco we will visit Sacsayhuaman, “The Royal House of the Sun,” one of the most important ancient sites and part of the original city of Cusco, as well as the Temple of the Moon and the Heart of the Condor. All of the ancient sectors of Cusco form a gigantic Puma, Sacsayhuaman is the Puma’s head. What Sacsayhuaman originally was is not entirely known because a lot of the site was destroyed. From among what is left of this massive monument we will find the remnants of what seems to be a large astronomical observatory. Our Maestro Tour Guide will shed more light on what Sacsayhuaman was and we will be able to take in the fullness and energy of this incredible place.
2. YOUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
During the trip we will offer spiritual ceremonies – journeys of learning and transformation. At your preference we invite you to participate in two sacred Andean ceremonies during the tour with the sacred plant spirit mentor Huachuma (cactus) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echinopsis_pachanoi), and also the Andean Offering tradition to Mother Earth. Inner Sacred Journeys Travel works with Andean Maestro Teachers referred to as Maestro/Master in Peru. The Huachuma ancient Inca tradition and the Offering tradition to Mother Earth will be conducted by Maestro Teachers, Percy and Alfredo and Kevin.
Huachuma is experienced as an opening of the heart center. Huachuma is a psychoactive plant teacher, it is a drink composed of the Huachuma cactus. Huachuma is drunk as a beverage, like a tea. The Huachuma cactus is a natural entheogen, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entheogen, accessing the divine within, used in a spiritual context. It is one of many plant spirit mentors that facilitates states of inner-understanding, awareness expansion – transcendence and revelation (gaining knowledge of self through direct experience) which can result in deep powerful revelatory experiences.
Message for the understanding of the sacred medicine plant Huachuma from the Maestro Teachers who will travel and work with you:
“The ancestral plant medicine Huachuma has thousands of years of use in the Andes, supporting dozens of cultures from Colombia all the way through the Andes to northern Argentina and Chile. This medicine is pure unconditional Love, the Love that created the entire Universe and continues to create each day, and the Love that we also are as children of the Universe. This master plant guides us within through the realms of our inner-consciousness and also assists us in the recognition of our place in the Cosmos and the profound connection we have with Mother Earth, bringing us closer to her heart and her embrace and ready to receive all the support and blessings she has for us. It helps us cleanse and heal our imbalances and energetic blockages to manifest greater health and vitality; to liberate through the powerful medicine of forgiveness those experiences from the past that may have caused (or still cause) trauma, pain and suffering in the present, limiting our true nature to continually reinvent and recreate ourselves each day, living in the pure innocence of the eternal child, in wonder of the miracle of each new dawn. Huachuma acts as a mirror where we may observe our habits, conditionings and beliefs to see whether or not they really serve us or if we need them, as well as to recognize the limitations of the ego and how to liberate ourselves from its control while bringing deeper clarity and calm into our minds. Through this sacred space and sacred time in ancient Andean tradition with Huachuma, we return back to Source, back to our origins as pure love, creative potential and possibility, living in abundance and flourishing and human beings in the dance of creation.”
The Offering to Mother Earth
The Offering tradition to Mother Earth is an ‘offering of gratefulness and love’ to Pachamama (Mother Earth) for the beautiful life that she provides us and for the bounty that she sustains us with. The offering is to thank for our arrival in the sacred ancestral land of the Incas and also for our spiritual journey and the connection with the sacred spirits of the mountains. The offering is made of the natural things of Earth such as shells, grains, flowers, leaves, etc. They are colorful, beautiful, and symmetrical arrangement bundles.
Inca tradition Program
On the day of the Inca tradition, we will begin in the morning with the sacred plant spirit mentor Huachuma. We enter a state of expanded awareness and continues in the afternoon when Maestro Teachers Percy, Alfredo and Kevin will focus on the process of each person’s spiritual personal consultations. This consultation is for your benefit and for the opening of your hearth. During Inca tradition the Maestros share their knowledge about the history and traditions of the Andean ancestors, their knowledge and understanding of the relationship of humanity with Pachamama and the cosmos.
On the day of the Inca tradition you will receive the important instructions and advice regarding your manner, approach, and conduct during sacred plant Inca tradition.

Maestros Percy, Alfredo and Kevin are heart centered and compassionate, knowledgeable, ethical, kind, warm and understanding, and truly happy and welcoming persons. They are loved and well-respect Maestros in the Andean community of the Sacred Valley, and are loving known among the international community as well.
The Maestro is able to connect/communicate with the frequency of the spirit world in Inca tradition. This is a literal communication with spirits and the ability to work with unseen and mysterious forces and to intercede for your benefit on your behalf. Due to their training, a Maestro can have several spirit helpers in the Inca tradition. The Maestro drinks the plant spirit mentor which allows him to access the spirit helpers that work with him.
Messages from the Maestro Teachers who will travel and work with you:
“First let us introduce you more into our sacred space and sacred time of the nature of these journeys. This sacred journey seeks to guide the individual through the recognition of one's true nature, and therefore the nature of the cosmos (as below, so above; as within, so without) through a process of experiences. We believe that it is just a question of remembering, for it is part of our origins, engrained into our being. Some call this cosmovision. With this memory awakened, with our consciousness enlightening and our awareness tuned-in, we then have the tools to coexist and thrive with all of Creation, bringing more fullness into our lives. Recognizing our origins and the natural cosmic law that is (not that we create), we may discover how to flow as part of the web of life (not above or superior to it) and promote well-being throughout our life and beyond. For us, this cosmovision is global and was shared by many ancient cultures. As applied in the Andes, it only takes into account aspects of the natural world and landscape that surrounds us, such as the geographic expressions and also the footsteps left by the ancestors.
We would like to offer something different for those looking to head off the beaten path, for those looking for support in life, for those hungry for a deeper experience and understanding of our true human nature. These experiences will be personally tailored to fit the individuals' needs or interests. From our deepest passion and profound respect to our ancestors, as guides of the Andean medicine path we are privileged to offer you this journey. In these journeys we will visit the best sacred sites or places of power that seek to assist and support us through our experiences.”
“Many cultures in the Andes flourished for thousands of years due to the wisdom and importance given towards the well being of the individual, family and community, and the deep respect for Mother Nature and how the human element can thrive in Her web of life. This ancient science continues to be disregarded among modern society and its effects are obvious: we are destroying both on a personal level our only physical vessel and on a collective level our only home and source of sustenance, the Earth. Healing and self-realization are not only possible - they are fully available to those who feel the calling. The tools, or medicines as we prefer to call them, left behind by the ancients and still practiced by many today are here to serve us as amazing potential for personal transformation and thus the potential to change the current state of humanity's existential crisis.”
The Role of Huachuma: Plant spirit mentors access the divine within us and is used in a ceremonial spiritual context. The plant allows you to access your expanded awareness through which you receive the teachings. See above for a more expressive description.
