Kate Westberg, Yogafari

Kate is a world traveller who seeks out beautiful places and people to share their stories. She has lived all over the world and travels from her home in the yoga mecca of Byron Bay on the east coast of Australia. She started doing yoga and meditation as a way to connect to herself and others and brings this passion into her teaching.


Kate is the owner and founder of Yogafari who offer yoga safaris around the world that combine yoga with adventure activities. She believes in the healing power of nature and enjoys teaching a mixture of yoga, pilates and meditation. Her philosophy is to walk gently on the earth and inspire others to connect to the beauty that surrounds us.

Yoga and Meditation

Kate offers a mixture of yoga and pilates with a strong yet gentle style that focuses on yoga as a form of moving meditation. She is trained in restorative yoga and brings about a sense of mindfulness into her teaching. She offers yoga classes, private sessions, workplace wellbeing workshops, business retreats and yoga safaris.

Travel Writer, Therapist and Yoga Teacher

Kate writes about responsible travel that gives back to the local people and the environment they live in. She thinks of herself as a storyteller and through therapy she is able to help others to heal themselves. Yoga allows her to bring all of her skills together to bring about a sense of balance and improve overall wellbeing.

Seriya Cutbush, Akshaya Healing

Seriya is a yoga teacher, sound healer and meditation instructor who grew up between Australia and India. Her journey guided her to practicing and studying meditation and healing throughout Asia, the Middle East, Europe, central and north America, deepening her knowledge and understanding, and realising her own intuitive relationship to herself, her community and her practice.

Seriya is certified in Daoist Yin Yoga and traditional Sivanada Hatha Yoga, and has trained in the Hawaiian tradition of Kahuna Bodywork. She is also a certified Remedial Massage Therapist, Intuitive Healer, Shamanic Sound Healer, Crystal Healer and Kirtan Singer (devotional chanting). She never stops learning and recognises the benefits of constantly developing her skills.

Seriya is the Experiences Co-Ordinator at the Crystal Castle, training facilitators, and developing and running workshops offered to visitors from all over the world. Shambhala garden tours, learning about the healing properties of crystals and doing a music of the plants workshop. She weaves her deep passion for nature, crystals and healing in the hills just behind Mullumbimby.

Seriya runs women’s retreats in Byron Bay and international yoga and adventure retreats. Her background in theatre, music and teaching has given her a solid foundation in group facilitation, leading groups up to 500 people at festivals and yoga studios throughout Australia. Rebecca Gunson, Humming Bee

Rebecca uses movement through yoga and dance to explore the body and mind. She does drumming, plays the guitar and sings, and brings music into everything that she offers.
