DescriptionWould you welcome the chance to get away from it all and spend some time contemplating your work, career and vocation in life? Do you think about making changes but never seem to get around to it?
If you find yourself answering yes, this Career Change Weekend is for you.
The Career Change Weekend will give you time and space to reflect, something everyday life doesn’t allow. We will work through the key factors that will bring your work to life;
- What do you value?
- What inspires you?
- What gets in the way?
- What are your skills, talents, gifts?
- What’s your vocation, calling and purpose?
We keep the groups small and intimate so that there is plenty of time for everyone to participate in a supportive and relaxed environment. Depending on the size of the group there is either one or two facilitators that run the weekends which include a mixture of group discussions and activities to stimulate insights and ideas. There is no pressure for you to do anything you don’t want to do. You go at your own pace.
The weekend consists of six workshops over 3 days;
Day 1 Reflecting on your work so far
Workshop 1 – We need to understand where we have come from to help us decide where we want to get to. This workshop will help you to understand what made the highs and the lows in your career so far and to start seeing patterns that you may not have noticed before.
Workshop 2 – Articulate and be proud of all the skills, talents and gifts you have. We use different self-assessment tools including some psychometrics and other activities during this workshop.
Day 2 Knowing what is is important and breaking through the barriers
Workshop 3 – Continue with the work of self exploration, but with a focus on your passions, motivations and values. This can be an enlightening experience.
Workshop 4 – Discover what is getting in the way of you having fulfilling and rewarding work. You may be surprised at how many of the barriers are due to self-limiting beliefs.
Day 3 Making plans for the future
Workshop 5 – It is time to clear the blocks, and to let go of the all the things that have been getting in your way. This can be a powerful and cathartic session.
Workshop 6 – You will make plans and commitments to work towards your new life, and establish what support you are going to need to make it happen.
The Career Change Weekend take place in various beautiful settings surrounded by nature. Accommodation is on a single occupancy basis. All rooms are en suite. Special dietary requirements are catered for. There is plenty of parking at all venues and good transport links.
During this three day retreat you will discover what is truly of importance to you, understand what will bring you work fulfilment and create a practical plan.
