(Lenox, MA ) The fondly remembered and fashionable Eastover Estate opens its doors in a Preview, Sept. 19-21, as the Berkshire’s newest go-to destination for holistic, group and personal retreats. Eastover is earmarking 100% of event donations to Pursuit of Happiness, (POH), a non-profit collaborative of educators, scientists and web professionals at the forefront of the Educating the Heart global movement.
The new Eastover Estate and Retreat is offering visitors an opportunity to relax, retreat and explore its historic 600 acres of unspoiled natural beauty with majestic panoramic views that includes a tour, workshops and a vibrant pesformance by Steven Michael Pague and the Winged Heart Band. The century-old property has been painstakingly restored after multimillion dollar renovations lasting over four years ensured that the property’s
peacefulness, tranquility and history were vigilantly protected.
Attendance at the event is by optional donation ($20 suggested) and for contributions of $250 or more, guests receive a complimentary two-night stay during the event. Dr. Andrew Vidich is an award winning author, consultant, and transformational
speaker, in the fields of spirituality and leadership. His books include Love is a Secret
(1990), critically acclaimed by the Institute of Noetic Sciences which stated that "it
provided a great service to readers interested in the deeper dimensions of mystical love."
He co-authored The Heart of the Healer, (1995) an investigation into the nature of
healing, which sold more than twenty thousand copies. He was also a contributor to The
Heart of Healing, (2006)edited by Dawson Church, (Elite Books) which won a National
Book Award for best anthology on health and healing. His most recent book Light upon
Light: 5 Master Pathways to Awaken the Mindful Self. (2009 Elite Books) won the Best
Book Award under the category of Eastern Religions by USA Book News.
Dr. Vidich has been an adjunct assistant professor of religion at Manhattan College and
at Iona College in New Rochelle where he has taught courses in the nature and
experience of religion, meditation, death and dying and Islamic studies. He was an
instructional coach and award winning teacher in the New York City Department
Education for over 18 years.
His consulting firm The Leadership Training Programs.com teaches and trains
people in team building, conscious and compassionate communication, conflict
management, and mindfulness in educational, corporate and non-profit organizations.
He is a founding member of The Interfaith Council of New York a not-for-profit
interfaith organization as well as a member of the council of trustees of The Temple of
Understanding, a global interfaith organization, which promotes interfaith understanding
and cooperation across all religions and faiths. He is a member of the Board of Directors
and the public relations coordinator for the Science of Spirituality Meditation Center, in
Amityville New York. He has been meditating for over 42 years under the guidance of
three great spiritual teachers of the Sant Mat Lineage.
