Ciel azul is a tranquil accommodation, is a perfect place to unwind. The center regularly hosts guests to workshops and activities that are related to health and wellbeing. All the studios and 1 or 2 room apartments have a well equipped kitchen, a private bathroom and a terrace with a view onto the sea, the garden or the swimming pool.Located on the island of Ibiza which, over the last 50 years, has become a focal point for alternative living. An ideal location, very close proximity to the quiet beach of Cala Martina, where you can find two restaurants. The famous Chirincana La Playa restaurant is a few minutes walk and here you can enjoy a tasty vegetarian dinner and a musical show on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sunday evenings. There is a water sports center on Cala Martina where you can book the following activities: Kite surfing, wind surfing, Scuba diving, Canoeing and pedal boats. On Wednesdays, Es Canar hosts the famous Hippy Market.
There is a snack-bar, swimming pool, gift shop. And other services available, e.g. baby sitting and child care are possible on request (a price for the week during Yoga lessons can be negotiated: count around 300 euros for 18h). See more events in this venue
The retreat: will take place in Ciel Azul Center, a few steps from Cala Martina beach, in a beautiful and calm spot. Leisure and entertainment activities are easily accessible. Located on the island of Ibiza which, over the last 50 years, has become a focal point for alternative living. Alternative people from all around the world gather in Ibiza, particularly in summer season. However, all year round, you are likely to come across eccentric characters.
Yoga: Opale will be providing teachings of Vinyasa flowing and dynamic Yoga which incorporate and combine Prana Flow sequences. You will practice 3h daily Yoga, daily in an indoor Yoga shala or on a shaded terrace by the seashore. Morning sessions run from 9.30 – 12.30 am, followed by a delicious & organic vegetarian lunch. Evening sessions from 5 to 8 pm. The 6 sessions include Asanas (Yoga postures), Vinyasa (sequence of poses) Pranayama (breathing exercises) and Mindfulness Meditation. Pilates exercises will be incorporated in the teachings. This is to ensure there is some specific focus on improving your core and help to build and strengthen the muscles supporting your spine. The lessons are suitable for all. We welcome complete beginners and those who have practiced Yoga for some years. Every student will receive a special attention.
Opale‘s background in various Yoga schools will promote the thorough study of each posture. She will gently ease you into the practice with breathing exercises and smooth movements to awaken the muscles and joints with preparation throughout the week for tougher poses through core and back strengthening exercises. Opale teaches with a professional and sensitive approach allowing for each individual student to evolve into their practice with fluidity and confidence.

The prices are per person per week, where 2 are sharing a room. Possibility to be alone in a studio for a supplement of 245 €.
Food: The food is delicious, healthy & vegetarian. Gluten and/or dairy-free requirements are catered for when necessary, please advise when booking. Healthy breakfast and lunch will be served in the dinning room, or on the terrace.

Treatment /Massage with Mary Bland Integrative Bodywork practitioner: 1 hr treatment session: €70; (For serious physical issues, 2 sessions recommended).
From 1.30pm your day is yours… There are beaches to enjoy, an island to explore, have a massage or relax by the pool. In the evening, you can discover Es Canar’s animated port (a 15 min walk away), with a variety of bars & restaurants and night life. You can also choose to cook dinner in the quiet of your appointment. Can Suldate is a rustic restaurant close to Es Canar which also has live music on Thursday and Saturday evenings. Santa Eularia is 2.5 miles away and a charming port town with a wide sandy beach, it offers all services (Pharmacy, Banks, etc…) and a fast shuttle boat to the sister island, Formentera. Cala Nova, once of the Islands most spectacular beaches is walking distance from EsCanar.
Check-in & out: This 7 day retreat starts with a light dinner on the Sunday after the first lesson and ends with a lunch after the last class on the Friday. Check-in after 4pm (you are welcome to the bar and pool) and check-out by 12 noon.
Opale Carol
For 15 years, she travelled the world. She lived in India for a few months each year and studied different types of yoga : Iyengar Yoga (focused on alignment) for 2 years. Then Astanga Vinyasa Yoga for 7 years (focus on Udjaih Breath and Bandhas). Then she moved on to Vinyasa Flow (Power Yoga) for 10 years. in alternance with the study of Vishranta Restorative Yoga. More recently she integrates Mindfulness into the Yoga practice.
In India, in 2004, she was certified to teach Astanga Yoga .
In France, in 2005, she was certified to teach Vinyasa and Vishranta Yoga (restorative Yoga) by Gerard Arnaud
In 2011, She achieved a Pilates Master in Ibiza. On request she now integrates Pilates exercises to the Yoga lesson to strengthen the abdominal belt, protect the spine and avoid backaches.
She also studied Indian philosophy, did a Vipassana Meditation retreat in India, and practiced Pranayama with Emil Wendels.
In India, for many years she studied Astanga Yoga with Rolf Naujokat and then was a student of David Swenson. In Paris she studied with renown Gerard Arnaud. More recently she was inspired by Christine May, from the Shiva Rea Prana Flow Yoga. And she is currently following a new TTC with Hugh Poulton about Integrated Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation.
She teaches since 2005 in Ibiza. She really appreciates the quiet of Ibiza, the peaceful beauty of its nature and its mystical remote places, so propitious for Yoga practice. That is why she chose to live and teach there.
