Ayurveda & Hatha Yoga Week Intensify and deepen your practice with special attention on correction in the practical part, which includes: - Sivananda and Satyananda Asanas - Surya and Chandra Namaskar - Pranayama - Yoga Nidra and Meditation The theoretical part includes: - Ayurveda and how to prepare easy treatments - The Doshas and your own constitution - The Chakras - Prana and Pranayama - Ashtanga / Patanjali Yoga The practice of Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda corrects disorders in the body, helps to maintain health, and increasesmental and intellectual capacity and emotional balance. The eight pathways (Ashtanga Yoga) have nothing to do with a specific style of Yoga, as all yogis follow these universal laws: Yama - Social Discipline Niyama - Self-Discipline Asana - Posture Pranayama - Breath Control Pratyahara - Inward Direction of the Senses Dharana - Concentration Dhyana - Meditation Samadhi - Union with God The word Yoga means Union or Unity. This union is described in spiritual terms as the Union ofindividual consciousness with universal consciousness. Yoga is a means of balancing and harmonizing body, mind and emotions. This is done by the practice of: Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha, Shatkarma and Meditation. It is necessary to achieve union with the ultimate reality. The control and discipline will take you to that state when Atman (individual soul) merges with Paramatman (supreme soul). Union of Body, Mind and Soul, that is Yoga. The human body is a creation of God and Yoga is Art. Ayurveda is a Self Healing System and has been practiced in India for more than 5000 years. Yoga, Tantra and Ayurveda are mentioned in the scriptures of the Vedas and Upanishads. Ayurveda means knowledge of life, and its purpose is to help the individual to achieve longevity, rejuvenation and self realization. In proper balance, the process of physical deterioration and disease can be reduced. Ayurveda focuses not just on healing disease, but even more so on prevention and maintenance of a healthy life in harmony with existence.
