Hatha yoga is a Dance between the breath and movement of the body. It is not about your skill set level or if you can touch your toes. It is about what you find on the way down, and your desire for growth. Yoga is body awareness and learning how to breath through life while on and off the mat.

Detach from your day to day routine and expand your mind and body with yoga classes that are specially designed for chakra healing, rejuvenation, and dynamic wellness. You will learn how to release all expectation of yourself and tap into divinity.Classes are enjoyable for both beginners and advanced yogis alike.
Chakras are energy centers that run along the spine, and facilitate movement of energy throughout the body. The sanskirt word chakra literally means wheel because of it's function as a vortex of energy interacting with various physiological and neurological systems within the body. There are seven primary chakras, and each of them contains its own vibration and unique qualities because of their innate frequencies and particular location within the physical body. Each chakra is associated with different colors, sounds, characteristics, and elements, and it is essential that they stay open, aligned, and fluid. When we are under stress, our chakras are greatly affected, and if there is a blockage, energy cannot flow.
At the base of the spine is the root chakra (Muladhara), in the pelvic region is the sacral chakra (Svadhistana), moving up into the abdomen is the power chakra (Manipura), located in the chest is the heart chakra (Anahata) , the throat chakra (Vishuddha) is located in the throat, the 3rd eye chakra (Ajna) is in the center of the forehead, and at the top of the head, the crown chakra (Sahaswara).
The chakras are important because they represent both an evolutionary map for the unfolding of our consciousness and a daily tool for accessing our condition on all levels. Through the chakras, we are able to see the parts of ourselves that we feed and the parts that we starve.
***Each day of the retreat will correspond to a particular chakra to focus on it's unique characteristics. We'll learn tips for regulating and healing the chakras, learn how to recognize symptoms of a healthy, overactive, and blocked chakra, learn affirmations for each chakra, practice yoga sequences that are specifically designed to unblock the chakras to allow energy to flow freely, use seed sound to meditate on a particular chakra, and eat delicious, local, organic, plant based meals to help balance each chakra.

Thousands of years before modern medicine, the sages of India developed Ayurveda, which continues to be one of the world’s most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health systems. More than a mere system of treating illness, Ayurveda is a science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge). The main focus of Ayurveda is achieving proper digestion by eating according to your dosha, your own specific body and personality type, as well as seasonally and locally. Ayurveda addresses not only what food is best for an individual, but also how food is best eaten and how it is best combined. According to the science, each meal should contain all six flavors: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, astringent, and pungent, in order to achieve balance and create vibrant flavors certain to leave the palette and soul in bliss.
Since the retreat takes place during Hawaii’s summer, a pitta-balancing menu will be offered, including many of the land’s freshly picked tropical fruits and fresh chakra-aligning summertime meals. Chakras-specific teas and desserts will be served as a treat most every night, and a very special recipe book, including all of the recipes of the retreat, will be yours to take home with you.
Below is an example of the types of meals you can expect from this retreat:
