Kirpal Meditation and Ecological Center is a half mile from the ocean on the eastern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii, approximately seven miles from the small village of Pahoa. The 10-acre ocean-view property is blessed with average daytime temperatures of 85° F year-round, and 65° F at night, with cool, fragrant trade winds, surrounding tropical flora, including old growth mangoes, nearby swimming, surfing and snorkeling in the ocean and natural volcanically heated thermal oceanside pools.

This property was once a papaya farm and is now newly planted with sour sop, jack fruit, pomegranate, rollinia, variety of bananas, figs, passion fruit, mamey sapote, avocados, papayas, sugar cane, coconut, lilikoi and guava. There are also loquat, cacao, macadamia nut, cashew nut, noni, starfruit, breadfruit, tangelos, grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, lemons, pomelos and more.

The octagonal Balinese meditation pavilion is set among shade-trees with an expansive view of the ocean. The island wildlife is all around us – a variety of birds by day and at night there’s the pleasant chirping of Coqui frogs – and there are no snakes. Natural wonders include Volcanoes National Park, lava and crater viewing, volcanically heated warm ponds and steam vents (as outdoor saunas) and other wonders of the lush tropics. Davida Moore

What is DivineAlignment? DivineAlignment’s mission is to combine the dynamic facets of self to create oneness within, through the physical wellness of yoga, the internal wellness of healthy food and meditation, and the mental wellness of self-love, confidence, and self-acceptance. Linking all of these aspects together creates dynamic wellness. If we allow ourselves to interconnect mind, body, and spirit, create balance, create peace of mind, listen to our intuition, remove fear, and live the life we deserve; that is Divine Alignment.

Originally from North Carolina, Davida was certified (RYT 200) with Yoga on Main in Philadelphia, PA through Yoga Alliance. She decided to move to Hawaii to deepen her yoga practice and interconnectedness with nature. She teaches Hatha yoga with an emphasis on the chakras, mindfulness, pranayama, Ayurveda, and it’s relation with nature. With her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and a minor in neuroscience she has a developed understanding of human anatomy and the applied physiology of yoga asana.

Trained with the incorporation of the sister science to yoga, Ayurveda, her classes and workshops are infused with the aspects of natural healing and self-care. She not only learned how to properly teach asanas, but also how to nutritionally care for her clients and cater the practice to the individual’s needs. Thus, creating a safe, supportive environment for her clients to thrive in while aligning their mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual selves.

Yoga has been a part of her life for the past 5 years, and it has given her strength both on and off the mat. Through yoga, she has a deeper understanding of body awareness, how to breathe properly, and live with nature. It brings her an infinite amount of joy knowing that she will be able to impact, inspire and heal through yoga, retreats and workshops! See more photos and other events by this presenter
