The Island Well invites you to their first retreat seminar this September on Bailey Island, ME.
Located at the breathtakingly scenic Inner Ledge, this seminar will take place in the former summer home of Drs. Esther Harding, Kristine Mann and Eleanor Bertine, who were known as the early “Founding Mothers” of Jungian Analysis in the United States. Join your hosts Nancy Grice and Bill Daly from The Island Well, along with guest facilitators, speakers and artists, to renew a tradition started by Drs. Mann, Harding and Bertine, who regularly brought together groups of people in this spectacular location to discuss and deepen their understanding of Jungian teachings.
Participants may enroll in either one or both of two unique sessions.
SESSION I is oriented around THE ASTROLOGICAL PLAY, an experiential immersion in the archetypal energies expressed by the planets. Created and led by astrologer Allice Haidden and artist Larry Hayden, participants will use the backdrop of the beautiful home, forest and ocean to develop and enact The Play, discovering how archetypal energies work through themselves and others. This program is limited to 10-15 people.
SESSION II features a deep examination of the “SENSE OF PLACE”. Led by Jungian Analyst Teresa Arendell, we will consider how a place can have a soul and essence that powerfully affects our consciousness.
There are limited rooms available at Inner Ledge, and more rooms available at the nearby Driftwood Inn or other Bailey Island accommodations. Space is limited. Early-bird registration deadline is August 31st.
