Programs at Kripalu are led by world-renowned teachers in yoga, self-discovery, and holistic health and are designed to provide you with tools to apply in daily life. Program topics include wellness, Ayurveda, nutrition, fitness, personal growth, relationships, meditation, spiritual practice, professional training, and much more. Yoga programs are offered for people at all levels, feature all yoga traditions and styles, and include therapeutic yoga, yogic anatomy, and trainings for teachers. Many Kripalu programs offer continuing education credits for professionals in fields such as social work, counseling, nursing, and massage and bodywork.
Each program experience is enhanced by the components of Kripalu’s lifestyle curriculum, intentionally created so that every moment of your stay supports deep inner health. DescriptionWe have designed the Basic Course with much love, to share the basic tools needed to apply a meditative state of mind in the process of creating. This longer program will enable us to explore the field of Meditative Art in a deeper way and also to experience a wider range of natural materials. During this course we will learn the theory and practice of Meditative Art, along with yoga and meditation and we will let ourselves enjoy the journey in a ideal naturally tranquil and inspiring surrounding. This course is opportunity to learn how to use art as a means for spiritual growth. We will do so through: Meditative Painting, Sketching & Sculpturing, Felting, Mud Work, Walking meditation, Creative Writing and movement. Along with there we will be having daily practices of Yoga, Silent Sitting Mediation and Guided Relaxation. During our Meditative Art practice we will focus on the use of natural materials and the way they affect us. Among the many materials we will explore are: natural paints, mud, raw wool, ropes, metal, cloth, stones and wood, creating with food and painting with spices and much more. We will also explore this magical forest surrounding through meditative walks, as well as outdoors Meditative-Art practices.
