DescriptionJoin Andrew Alam and learn to alter body and mind patterns through the ancient healing arts of mudras, mantras, and bandhas. Tap into the transformational powers of these subtle tools through experiential inquiry. The word mudra literally means “a seal.” It is a certain position of the hand and is a science that involves geometry and circuitry of the body. Mudras are a subtle science of arranging energetic system functions of your body in a certain way, simply by changing the positions of your hand and body. The word mantra has two parts: man, which is the root of the Sanskrit word for mind; and tra, which is the root of the word instrument. A mantra is an instrument of the mind, a powerful sound or vibration that you can use to enter a deep state of meditation, allowing you to connect to Self and Spirit. Mantras are essential tools to support your meditation practice. The word bandha means to lock, seal, or bind. In our yoga practice, the use of 3 Bandhas allows us to harness and direct energy flow to a particular area of the body. Bandhas support breath, holistic awareness, a strong body, and give you a sense of lightness as you move through postures. Ultimately, the transformational power of Bahdhas unlocks Kundalini Energy, another tool to connect to Self and Source. This program is from 3pm-5pm
