Tailwind Jungle Lodge

Natural paradise! Perched amidst majestically swaying palm trees descending to a white sand beach, the Tailwind Jungle Lodge is an eco-lodge, retreat center and adventure tour company on the Mexican Pacific. Our motto? Enjoy life! Between yoga, kayaking, hiking, SUP, and relaxing in the hammock, it's definitely easy to do just that.

The Tailwind Jungle Lodge was founded by the adventurous Jacobi family in 2007. The lodge's creatively designed, tree-house like bungalows, palapas and casitas are nestled amidst 5 acres of truly stunning jungle ridges descending to breathtaking beaches. The lodge is located on a spectacular coastline, just north of the charming town of San Pancho (official name, San Francisco) in the state of Nayarit, Mexico.

Carla Wainwright

I started practicing yoga in 1996, the original motivation — to touch my toes! I had no idea the journey I was beginning to undertake would be so profound and transformational. Seventeen years later, I can touch my toes, and along the way I discovered that my talent and my passion has become helping others nourish their unique journey toward self discovery.

While most of my retreats and offerings are open to all, I am particularly passionate about helping women explore the divine feminine and embrace their indwelling power, the Shakti nature within. This work entails going deep, uncovering blocks, becoming embodied, balanced and strong on all levels, ultimately, becoming comfortable with feminine creativity, sexuality and personal power. As I continue the personal practice of embracing Shakti, I experience my evolution forward into myself. An increasingly empowering and liberating experience, I can’t help but feel compelled to help others experience this for themselves.

Yoga is an ancient and timeless art, science, and philosophy that emphasizes awareness, integrity, and compassion. The practice of yoga helps anyone to gain good health, mental peace, emotional equanimity and intellectual clarity. As a yoga teacher I honour the ancient traditions while embracing our contemporary evolution forward. My desire to is enable students to find true pleasure in their practice, on and off the mat and to use the power of the practice to heal, transform and awaken to a life of freedom.
