Kate Westberg, Yogafari

Kate is a world traveller who seeks out beautiful places and people to share their stories. She has lived all over the world and travels from her home in the yoga mecca of Byron Bay on the east coast of Australia. She started doing yoga and meditation as a way to connect to herself and others and brings this passion into her teaching.


Kate is the owner and founder of Yogafari who offer yoga safaris around the world that combine yoga with adventure activities. She believes in the healing power of nature and enjoys teaching a mixture of yoga, pilates and meditation. Her philosophy is to walk gently on the earth and inspire others to connect to the beauty that surrounds us.

Yoga and Meditation

Kate offers a mixture of yoga and pilates with a strong yet gentle style that focuses on yoga as a form of moving meditation. She is trained in restorative yoga and brings about a sense of mindfulness into her teaching. She offers yoga classes, private sessions, workplace wellbeing workshops, business retreats and yoga safaris.

Travel Writer, Therapist and Yoga Teacher

Kate writes about responsible travel that gives back to the local people and the environment they live in. She thinks of herself as a storyteller and through therapy she is able to help others to heal themselves. Yoga allows her to bring all of her skills together to bring about a sense of balance and improve overall wellbeing.

Katie West, Katie West Yoga

Katie is a passionate yoga teacher who lives on the tropical island paradise of Koh Phangan. She has travelled all over the world and calls Thailand home, while running yoga retreats in other exotic places. Her mixture of styles including Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga has brought her both a local and overseas following.

Katie was introduced to yoga in London and used it to help work through her body image issues. She found yoga and meditation so beneficial that she left the corporate world behind to focus on yoga teaching. Having studied in Australia, India, Cambodia, Bali and China, she helps others to make peace with themselves and their bodies.

Katie encourages people to reach their full potential by shifting their own life experiences. No class is the same and her teaching weaves together storytelling, mind and body exploration, meditation and a healthy dose of humour.
