Elohee – retreat. renew. remember.
Elohee is a retreat center located in the heart of 200 wooded acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. Currently, we rent our facilities to teachers offering courses in meditation, yoga, art, dance, and other methods for personal growth. We are also in the process of creating our own curriculum which will draw directly upon the power of nature to facilitate our Forest Therapy, Cancer Support, Trauma Recovery, and Mindful Leadership Programs. Elohee is a place for transformation - individual and community.See more events in this venue
Come join us for a day of restoration and relaxation through gentle yoga. Morning and afternoon sessions will explore gentle Hatha yoga, meditation and deepen into restorative poses using props and supports. This is a wonderful workshop for those experiencing chronic stress and physical tension related to the stressful world around us. Enjoy a lovely vegetarian lunch (included in registration fee) as well as a guided nature hike. There will also be free time to meditate, write, draw, study or simply soak in the mountain hot tub or swim in the spring fed pool on the mountain. Give yourself the gift of time and peaceful attentiveness and see what you can discover! This workshop is appropriate for beginner and advanced yoga students as well as those who have never done yoga.
Day long Yoga retreat in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
Anna has been practicing yoga for 18 years and has been an instructor for 11 years. Anna worked for many years as a psychotherapist and through this worked closely with blending the physical and spiritual components of yoga into the healing work of therapy. This profound and meaningful work included female prison inmates, students in a military university, and advocates for survivors of sexual assault. Anna received her yoga certification at Peachtree Yoga Center and has completed further study at Asheville Yoga Center and Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She has also studied with teachers such as Erich Schiffman and Tias Little. Anna currently lives in the mountains of North Georgia with her family and enjoys hiking, gardening, and raising chickens and children.
