Sugar Ridge Retreat Centre was created to provide a place for people to reconnect with a part of themselves that may be neglected or hidden, to connect with others or just getaway and have some fun!
Whether you seek a much needed R&R break, a getaway from kids and family, romance, or a deeper spiritual connection, we will cater to your needs to make your visit a memorable experience. The staff here look forward to making your stay enjoyable. Surrounded by nature, beds are comfy, duvets are cozy, people are friendly and the food is yummy - what more could you want?
Located on 150 acres of majestic maple and cedar forests, lush meadows and surrounded by 3000 acres of provincial land, you can breathe fresh air, sleep deeply and feel revitalized just by being here. We have 20 km of trails accessible from the property for hiking or skiing.so you can walk for hours and not see another person or find a special place to sit still in the forest. Take in a Yoga class while you're here or discover Nia. We're pet friendly so bring your pooch for some offleash adventures.
We offer a year of events you can join and are open year round.
You can come by yourself or bring 39 friends!

Detox Your Lifestyle and Develop Healthy Patterns!
This is NOT a juice fast or yoga retreat.
This is a week to get on track with healthier habits for your body, mind and spirit.
If you’ve wondered how to:
- start a healthier way of eating,
- slowly lose weight without gaining it back,
- feel emotionally balanced and energized
- deepen your sense of spirit
- become more mindful
- cope with stresses of life
- start some gentle exercise
Then this is the retreat for you!
We think of detox as a process of getting clear with what serves you. There will be no suffering through fasting or eating anything that doesn’t taste awesome. This is a FEEL GREAT week! We make healthy and delicious food, that your friends will want the recipes for!

Right thinking, right eating, right exercise. So simple? It can be.
This week has a focus on all aspects of your self-awareness – what you eat, how you eat, how you feed your mind, and how you feel in your body. You will eat well and nourish your body with yummy organic vegan meals.
Come into physical balance with daily Yoga classes that will flex your muscles as well as your mind and spirit. Create your resilient emotional balance with mindfulness practices aimed at permanent stress reduction. You will learn the tools to better cope with the stresses of daily life. Explore yourself via yoga, meditation, healthy food and group discussions. Meet new friends and become your own best friend!

Each day offers:
- Mindfulness practices
- Physical practices – choose from yoga, hiking, gardening, bird watching
- Discussions and workshops to help change unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaviour
- Gluten free, organic vegan meals & snacks
- Peace and quiet
- Free time to reflect, nap, or climb a tree
- New connections, new friends, create a new healthy relationship to yourself
Arrive by 3pm; settle in to your cabin
4pm – Introductions and review agenda for the week
5:30pm – Dinner
7pm – Workshop

7:30-8am – Meditation – explore a different style of meditation each day and see what resonates with you
8 – am – Breakfast
9:30 am – forest walk & Yoga
11:30 – 12:30 Group Discussion
12:30 pm – Lunch
1 – 2 pm – Free Time and 1 : 1 coaching sessions. (20 minute sessions are optional and offered at no extra cost this week)
2 – 4 pm – Workshops – *topics vary daily
4 – 5:30 – optional cooking class
5:30 pm – Dinner
7 pm – Relaxation Practice or bonfire or evening yoga or meditation or maybe a movie!
– Same morning schedule
– Depart at your leisure after lunch
*Workshops: These will vary by the day, but will include stress reduction techniques, communication styles, the basics of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), discussions of motivation, willpower, nutritional lectures, cooking class, and more.

This retreat is tailored to participants so tell her about yourself and any particular areas of interest e.g. physical, emotional, mental or spiritual aspects of living that perhaps you are struggling with.
One-to-one coaching sessions are available during free time periods.
