Join us in supporting the Nibezun Project, a cultural restoration of the land and people of Passadumkeag, Maine. The retreat center is located on a beautiful 85 acres of historic and current ceremonial grounds, known for it’s natural beauty and abundant wildlife. Nibezun translates to Medicine from the Penobscot language, with it’s root word nibi, meaning water - the first medicine. Situated right on the Penobscot river, and with land access to Olamon Island, the natural landscape is healing in itself. A major goal in hosting this retreat is to support the Nibezun Project in acquiring, protecting, and stewarding the land, and revitalizing the culture through gathering, language, and connection. This is a place of gathering to heal ourselves as well as the next seven generations. Join us in Remembering Our Medicine.
Retreat will include: Daily Therapeutic Yoga, Morning Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Three Healthy, Locally Sourced, Vegetarian Meals, Experiential Education on your Rite of Passage (and how to create meaningful and lasting change in your life), Medicine Walk: Day of Fasting on Olemon Island (directly off the property). Optional: Private Yoga Therapy Session, Massage Therapy, Private or Small Group Thai Chi.
