Anand Mehrotra created Sattva Yoga in the temples and caves of the Himalayas and on the banks of the sacred Ganga River. Sattva Yoga is of the lineage of the Masters. Students study the core essentials of yoga and meet all requirements of Yoga Alliance approved programs while also immersing fully into yogic wisdom and philosophy, that which is essential for living and modeling a life of transformation, aliveness, compassion, evolution, and personal responsibility.Sattva Yoga programs dedicate more hours to yogic wisdom and philosophy than most programs offered today.
Sattva Yoga’s 200-hour* Yoga Alliance certified foundational training studies core essentials of a Sattva Yoga life practice and prepares students to not just be yoga teachers, but to live as Masters in all movements of life. It offers transformation and personal evolution in the heart of yoga, Rishikesh. Training is coupled with spiritual immersion into the yogic lifestyle practice. Well beyond the mat, Sattva Yoga offers a training unlike any other – it offers the opportunity of a lifetime to study amongst the greatest Masters of yoga, in the birthplace of yoga.

Every Sattva Yoga class is structured as an energetic and physical journey. Sattva Yoga includes many styles of yoga found in the West. Each trainee will be guided through thorough study, technique, and use of the following:
- Pranayama (breath work)
- Hatha asanas (postures)
- Vinyasa (flows)
- Partner work
- Freedom movement
- Western and Eastern anatomy
- Chakras, koshas, and gunas
- Yogic philosophy
- Intuitive journaling

Sattva Yoga teacher training is designed to immerse students into the physical, mental, and spiritual states of yoga so they emerge as students and teachers of wisdom and practice. Sattva Yoga teacher training is not about “becoming” a yoga teacher, but about coming into the strong spine, the fierce presence, and the free life that allow for being a teacher from wherever you stand in your community.
The power of taking the journey to India for this experience is tremendous. The journey inspires, heals, invigorates, and frees. The journey is deeply transforming and deeply joyous. All are supported in community to rise fully.
Teacher training begins on the evening of April 4 and ends on the morning of April 26. Please plan to arrive at Sattva Centre by late afternoon/early evening on April 4 and depart no earlier than 10am on April 26. Your stay at Sattva Centre on the evenings of April 4 and April 25 are included in the cost of tuition.
Tuition includes teacher training fee, meals and shared accommodation at Sattva Centre, some excursions, and all taxes. Cost does not include airfare, ground transportation, tips, or personal items. Sattva Centre is a Himalayan tropical paradise offering luxury accommodation, healthful vegetarian meals, swimming pool, spa, cool breeze even on warm days, and a clear view of the night sky.

Anand currently teaches around the world: giving wisdom talks, offering satsangs and meditations, leading Sattva Yoga journeys, and guiding students through profound transformations in wisdom immersions, retreats, and trainings. Anand also has a passion for developing sustainable businesses that transform and support the communities in which they participate. This entrepreneurial spirit has led to numerous endeavors, including his creation of the Sattva Centre, the Rishikesh retreat and wellness center where he leads Sattva Yoga teacher trainings and wisdom immersions.
