Set in a small village, just 7 kilometers from Ubud, the art & cultural centre of Bali-lies a place where art and nature merge seamlessly, and time seems to slow down. Your spacious private Villa, a luxurious haven from which to enjoy both the peace and the delights of Bali, located amid lush gardens and jungle and overlooking a gorgeous valley in the Balinese countryside. Here you will find antique furniture and art, modern comforts and amenities, and a gorgeous saltwater infinity pool.
The Villa is located in the traditional village of Banjar Bukian in Payangan. Only 60 families live here, so it is easy to soak up authentic Balinese culture, including elaborate temple ceremonies, gamelan music and the beautiful warmth of the locals.
The Villa makes use of traditional Balinese and Javanese architecture, as well as contemporary design elements creating an exotic rustic charm. There are four separate cottages, each with its own character and decor. Each cottage has modern appliances and amenities for luxurious comfort, there is a wooden joglo that serves as a living space and dining area, ample of privacy and space, and a fully equipped kitchen where the staff will prepare some of your exquisite meals.
Flow of the Day
Below is an outline of our daily schedule, each day different surprises are offered. Please remember that this retreat is all about you! This means that all retreat activities are optional as you are encouraged to participate in what feels right for you, moment by moment. Take a deep breath and visualize this…
Wake up at dawn to start the day with a serene smiling meditation. Tea, coffee and fresh fruit will be served for a light breakfast. Convening on the wooden joglo overlooking a stunning jungle valley, we will share a deep yoga practice followed by a delicious breakfast under the shade of trees in our beautiful garden.
A memorable excursion tour to one of the the many beautiful spots the island has to offer will follow breakfast three mornings, leaving two mornings for creative workshops.
A delicious lunch is followed by a free period to enjoy, explore quaint neighbouring villages and surroundings, pamper yourself with a body treatment, read a book, go for a swim or just be. At 4pm we will meet again for a yoga Nidra or a relaxing restorative yoga practice
Sunsets are blissed with a nature guided walk followed by a sunset special treat. A Five Rhythm guided dance will follow. A delicious Balinese dinner lovingly prepared by the Villa's chef will be served. After dinner enjoy a tranquil night swim, soulful moment with friends or gaze at the stars...then tuck yourself to into bed smiling, whilst listening to the soothing sounds of the jungle ♥

My name is Mei, founder of Come Back to Yourself Retreats. You know as well as I that certain moments in life call to us, however faintly, for a change of pace. The need to go elsewhere and just be. Coming back to myself is all about doing the things I love, things I am passionate about, that make me smile, connecting to my body sensations, my deep souls desire, embracing silence, connecting to my inner child - creating, moving, laughing and flowing with whatever life brings.
My regular practice of Yoga and Buddhist insight meditation are a significant step in keeping connected with myself, have been the backbone of stability in my life and kept me afloat in challenging moments.
Yoga has taught me how to live a meaningful life, guided from within. My gentle style of teaching focuses on deep inner awareness in the Yoga poses, Pranayama and meditation.
When I discovered the magical underwater world it was where I fell in love instantly! That was another really big step towards the real me. I became a certified diving instructor and now love to share my passion of the underwater realm with others.
As your retreat facilitator, my goal is to stimulate and bring to light the very best potential in you. Each retreat I lead is a combination of mindful living, relaxation, physical activities, movement and having fun.
A hallmark of Come Back To Yourself Retreats is going beyond pure cerebral integration by anchoring new experiences in the body.
Given my own coroporate past and having benefited so much from the holistic approach I understand and acknowledge the essential need for finding a balance between work and life, between body and mind.
I would like to share that wonderful experience with you and help you find simple ways that work for you. Everyone is capable of making these changes in their lives, and it always starts with the little things – sometimes they are right under your nose where you just can’t see them!
Rather than teaching traditional yoga & meditation I will guide you to appreciate the sacred within the simple things in life.
Coming Back to Yourself retreats are my offering. Let me show you simple practical ways to slow down, balance, reflect, smile, enjoy, embody and go home a fuller happier version of yourself. More aware of being perfect as you already are.
I love playing music, yoga, being underwater, wild dancing, painting, long walks on the beach, peaceful tea breaks, silent moments and magical sunsets. I can usually be spotted being outdoors walking barefoot and would describe my life as a piece of art and feel blessed doing what I’m passionate about. I am Canadian, fluent in English and French. I am passionate about travelling, nature, different cultures and places. At the moment I am living with my beloved in the Golden Land, Myanmar (Burma).
