SUP Yoga involves taking your Yoga practice onto the water using a Stand Up Paddle Board, adding new challenges and giving you a completely new experience, the board being used as an alternative yoga mat. Providing great benefits to the mind and body, this is easy to see when each of the aspects alone gives amazing benefits to health, and together they provide the perfect combination.
Enjoy a flowing movement on water, aiming to improve movement patterns and developing a sense of wellbeing and awareness of one’s own body. You will feel every muscle engage, keeping the body balanced and stable on the board, constantly adjusting, allowing for the water moving underneath you. It helps to improve focus and technique, heightening your awareness of your body and postures. Drawing attention to how you are moving your body; noticing areas that may be weaker, tighter or stronger.
Small group sessions with a maximum of 8 per group, tailored to suit your own ability, and covering all the basics from safety, balance and technique to improving speed and efficiency in all water conditions.
