This opportunity in studying them is to learn how to master each chakra’s essence and unite them all into a unified field of luminescence.
Our material bodies could not exist without the chakras for they serve as gateways for the flow of energy and life into our physical bodies.
The openness and flow of energy through our chakras determines our state of health and balance. Knowledge of our more subtle energy system empowers us to maintain balance and harmony on the physical, mental and spiritual level.
All yoga systems seek to balance out the energy of the chakras by purifying the lower energies and guiding them upwards. Through the use of yoga and living consciously, with an awareness of how we acquire and spend our energy we become capable of balancing our life force with our mental, physical and spiritual selves.
What is a chakra?
“Chakra” is a Sanskrit word literally meaning "wheel." These centers were named as such because of the circular shape to the spinning energy centers which exist in our subtle etheric body, the non-material energetic counterpart to our physical body.
There are seven main chakras and they are located along the spine extending out the front and back of the body.
Each chakra has a number of specific qualities that correspond to the refinement of energy from the base-level material-self identity, located at the first chakras, up to the higher vibration spirit-level awareness of being at our crown. These energetic centers represent our highest level of integration split, prism like, into a spectrum of colors.
Each chakra is associated with a certain part of the body and a certain organ which it provides with the energy it needs to function. Additionally, just as every organ in the human body has its equivalent on the mental and spiritual level, so too every chakra corresponds to a specific aspect of human behavior and development.
Each center has an integral function in creating our energetic balance. It is through the study of our energetic and physical being that we can create health, emotional stability and spiritual bliss
Typical day at the retreat:
8-10.00 am Dynamic Yoga practice: base is the vinyasa system, (linking the movement with the breath). Every day we will have a little introduction talk about one chakra, and we began to explore it through asanas, breathing exercises, visualisations, relaxation, and some other exercises.
10.00 am Brunch healthy free Buffet Afternoon free 90 mins holistic therapy with Didier Fernandes, our personal bodyworker.An hour and half holistic therapy is included one of the afternoon for each participant. Extra holistic therapy can be book on the retreat for an additional discounted price. This therapy would be focus on yourself, using different body work & emotional release technics. relax around the beautiful spa, explore the beach or villages around, recapitulation, etc
4-6.00 pm Grounding Yoga practice: light and fun, restorative and gentle, with more information and exercises about the chakra we are exploring that day.
7.00 pm Dinner healthy free Buffet
8.15-9.00pm Evening activity: sound bath, documentary about chakras, restorative yoga, chanting, etc.
The Yoga and activities, offers you an access to deeper connection with the different dimensions of your being. Creating a safe place for you to relax, renew and restore your energy. This deep work will support you to get in contact with your body and listen to it. Moving forward in your life, bringing into light the things are not aligned with your heart, allowing you to start creating new supportive & healthy habits.
You will leave the retreat with new tools to use in your daily life and a deeper knowledge of the 7 main chakras, allowing you to step into your power and taking responsibility for what you manifest in your life.
There is plenty of time for sightseeing, swimming in the sea or pool, relaxation, massage. Wednesday afternoon free to explore the exciting Anjuna Market if you wish or simple to relax having a India Masala Chai in the beach or in the natural pool.

Ashiyana Retreat Center: Ashiyana Retreat Centre is an exquisitely designed yoga resort in Mandrem, North Goa. Surrounded by coconut palms, this tranquil spot is bordered by the Mandrem River and the Arabian Sea.
Accommodation ranges from simple ensuite beach huts, to stylish wooden eco-lodges and luxury adobe-style dwellings that are built in a beautiful Palm Grove and face towards the sea (which can be viewed from some of the upper-floor balconies).
The Palm Grove dwellings are built of local wood giving an Asian feel, with finishing touches borrowed from classical Indian design, with plenty of natural fabrics and antique Rajasthani furniture. The beach huts are simple, yet chic.
All the rooms are spacious and comfortable with large windows and wonderful views. The en-suite bathrooms have been built to allow a little of the outside in, with large open window spaces and blinds. Each room has ample cupboard space and its own balcony with a charpoy daybed.
Ashiyana’s organic restaurant offers buffet meals with an excellent fusion of freshly-prepared Indian and Western vegetarian cuisine. Breakfast-brunch includes home-made muesli or porridge with curd (yoghurt), soya/milk, fresh fruit salad, plus a daily menu selected from the following - toast, butter, cheese, honey, jam, patisserie, scrambled eggs, dhal, rice, salad, hummous, tahini, and other daily specials. Tea, coffee and juices. Fresh fish dishes are served twice a week. All water is filtered, including that used for cooking.
Getting There International charter flights and national flights arrive at Dabolim airport in Goa. Ashiyana is a 90-minute taxi journey from Goa airport. Pre-paid government taxis are available as you exit the airport terminal, or we can organise a local Mandrem taxi to collect you. Approx. (Rs. 1200 - £15). Money changers and ATMS can be found at the airport.
Arrival day on Sunday - arriving in time for opening of the retreat at 5 pm if possible. Departure day October on Sunday - optional morning yoga class at 8am breakfast and check out at 10.30am.
By Air International flights
Overseas charter companies offer direct flights to Dabolim International airport in Goa or Mumbai.
Fly from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kochin and Chennai. For domestic flights we recommend Deccan Air, Jet Airways and Spice Jet.
By Coach The closest large town to Mandrem is Mapusa which has coach/bus connections to Mumbai, Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, Pune and other tourist destinations. Mapusa is 25 mins by taxi from Ashiyana.
By Train Goa has two main railway stations Margao and Vasco da Gama. There are major connections to Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Rajkot, Thiruvananthapuram and other nationwide destinations. The closest stations to Ashiyana are Pernem, Thivim and Margao.
Indian Visas All foreign nationals visiting India require a visa to enter India. All Indian Visas applications must be filled out on line.

With a back ground in gymnastic, I travelled to many different countries and studied and keep study with different teachers. I have an advance 500 hours qualification. I am fully insured with British Wheel of Yoga to teach Hatha, Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga, Gentle Yoga and Yoga for Children. I create classes adapted to the individuals/group needs. From beginners to advance students.
My classes flow as a moving meditation working to unite breath and body action to still the mind and calm the senses. I challenge my students to commit to their practice and themselves. I bring a great insight and caring guidance to the practice.
My classes are ideal for people who want to improve their life style as well as their physical and mental health. I incorporate some spiritual teachings that are aligned with the theme of the class.
