Venue Description

About the area:

The beach lies just a few steps away from the hotel and a seaside pine forest starts practically at hotel’s doorstep! A 2km long path through the forest takes you walking, jogging, or cycling to the area’s main town, where you will find a wide choice of tavernas, bars and clubs, as well as two open air cinemas and a marina.

This small town is a typical small Greek coastal town. Its 5.000 residents live off the land, cultivating citrus, olive and apple trees, as well as vines for the production of both wine and raisins.

The hotel belongs to a small and picturesque village, with a few seafront tavernas, a church, a children’s playground, the remains of an Ottoman tower and the early 20th-century villa of the famous Greek poet Angelos Sikelianos.

In older times our village was a harbor from where the produce of the nearby mountain villages was exported to other Greek cities. Today the village has less than 700 inhabitants who live off their land, cultivating mainly citrus fruits.

Our hotel is situated just meters from the beach, making it an ideal hotel for relaxed holidays. But it is also strategically located at a convenient distance from all the major archaeological sites of Southern Greece (Ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Olympia and Delphi), as well as stunning mountains and lakes and numerous Byzantine churches and monasteries, making ideal for a holiday of exploration and discovery.
