Nestled in the foothills of the Palomar Mountains, historic Valley Center is a county style town with charm of yesteryear, settled over 150 years ago after President Lincoln signed the Homestead Act on May 20, 1862. Broken Rock Ranch offers a remote camping experience that is only about 40 miles from downtown San Diego, is easily accessible from the major thoroughfare, and is 10 minutes from the amenities of town.
At your disposal spans 34 acres of rolling grounds for nature walks, meditating, relaxing, and fantastic clear night skies for star gazing. Ranch amenities include a main lodge-style building of over 2200 square feet, housing a magnificent fire place. Additional amenities include: an additional smaller meeting room, bunk houses / dorms, a fully supplied industrial kitchen, restrooms / hot showers, swimming pool, an outdoor amphitheater with bonfire pit, barbecues, on-site chapel, volleyball and soccer areas, ping pong, horseshoes, a basketball hoop, spaces for self-contained RV parking, tent camping areas, and picnic grounds.
Groups both large and small can enjoy the solitude of Broken Rock Ranch, along with the beautiful Southern California climate averaging a yearly high of 91 degrees and a low of 58 degrees! Up to 78 overnight guests can stay in the bunk house and dorms making this facility a great choice for groups from churches, men’s and women’s organizations, college and universities, youth and school programs, family reunions and celebrations, weddings and receptions, and corporate meetings. Day use for the facility is also available for parties, weddings, receptions, one-day group picnics, performances, business meetings / seminars, and swimming pool parties…just to name a few. In addition, for those who like sleeping outdoors under the clear country skies, we have room for lots of tents!
