This learning centre is located on the banks of river Tirthan; a tributary of River Beas at Sai Ropa, bordering the Great Himalayan National Park at an altitude of 4000 ft.
Tirthan is renowned for its medicinal herbs and plants. The campus is in a valley facing the river and a wood and stone structure built in the local style forms its central hub.
Tirthan valley is also renowned for Trout Fishing. The river is full of trouts during season and is good for both professional and amateur anglers.
This is also a gateway to The Great Himalayan National Park. Birds are a prime attraction in the Great Himalayan National Park. There are around 180 species of birds in the park. Tirthan is full of trekking routes. Overnight treks to Bachelo Pass & beyond and Treks to Sarleosar Lake from Jalori pass are quite famous.
The camp is spread across 4 acres of terraced land is easily approachable by road.
There are 22 tented accommodation units in large Double fly waterproof canvas. Each tent as twin beds with mattresses quilts and pillows. Each tent has permanent electricity.
There are 17 common western style toilets and 14 bathrooms. Each unit is modern and equipped with running water; all units are done aesthetically and are very clean and hygienic. There are mirrors and wash basins in this area.
We request all guests to bring in their personal toiletries.
There is a fully functional pucca kitchen inside the camp, food is hygienically prepared by our cooks and is simple, wholesome and nutritious. We try and use as much of locally available raw vegetables fresh from the neighboring villages.
For dining we have a Dining room with seating facility. All meals are as per fixed menu served at a designated time and area in buffet style.
