Located at an elevation of 7,500 feet in the Sierra National Forest, Camp Tamarack is conveniently located between the Kaiser and Dinkey Lakes Wilderness Areas. Camp Tamarack, a rustic and beautiful site situated on Forest Service land, has a meadow and creek running beside camp. Near Shaver Lake, Camp Tamarack is 60 miles northeast of Fresno and is completely remote. Camp Tamarack is open in the summer only. There is no electricity. However, there is gas refrigeration, the centrally located restrooms have hot showers, and the lodge has solar lighting.
- Tent Cabins – 10 tent cabins with 7-8 beds accommodates 30-70 persons.
- Cabins – Two frame cabins with five beds each.
Do Your Own Cooking – fully equipped, rustic kitchen in the lodge. Guests may use the indoor room in the lodge or outside covered picnic table area for dining.
