Founded in 1959 by the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, Chestnut Ridge rests on 362 beautiful, rolling, forested hills in Efland, NC. Currently, Chestnut Ridge operates as part of the North Carolina United Methodist Camp and Retreat Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution that oversees a total of three sites.
Chestnut Ridge is a year-round ministry with guests on site 7 days a week, all year long. We provide a variety of services to our guests: summer camp, retreat facilities and programs, after school care, horseback riding, the community farm, teambuilding programs, and outdoor education field trips. On average, Chestnut Ridge hosts over 10,000 persons per year.
