Frontier Ranch is owned and operated by Young Life. We are located south of Denver and west of Colorado Springs in Buena Vista, Co. … in the heart of the Rockies.
Built on the side of 14,197 foot Mt. Princeton, our spectacular setting includes stunning views, rugged high cliffs, majestic pine trees and a seasonal mountain stream. In the summer season, high school Young Life kids will experience nothing less than “the best week of their lives!” During the fall, winter and spring months our mountain setting, exceptional facilities and unmatched service provide for great Colorado retreats or conferences.
Adults can have the time of their lives at Frontier Ranch too! During each week of summer camp up to 12 adults participate in our Young Life Adult Guest program. Adult Guests stay in the beautiful Aspen Lodge, eat meals with campers, go to Young Life club, and soak in the entire camp experience.
Each summer, thousands of high school students come to Frontier Ranch for a week of high adventure and a chance to consider a relationship with God in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. And they have been doing it for more than 50 years!
Since 1951, students from around the country have been coming with their local Young Life groups and leaders to have a great time with each other, eat great food, and make lasting memories. They meet new people from around the country, try new activities, and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ presented in a way teens can understand.
Whether it’s galloping horseback through the pines at the base of Mt. Princeton, zipping through our high ropes course, whipping around an off-road track on a Ridge Runner, bounding off a 120-foot rappelling cliff, losing your stomach on “the Screamer,” barreling down the water slide into the hot springs pool, or climbing above the clouds at almost 13,000 feet – you can count on high adventure at Frontier Ranch!
And if that is not enough … there are other great surprises and activities … but we don’t want to spill the beans! Let’s just say there is much, much more!
For quiet down-time, there are plenty of places around camp with lawn chairs, lobbies, picnic tables, and great views of the valley below for unwinding.
The Frontier Trading Post has T-shirts, books, gifts and more. At the Silver Heel Snack Bar, we offer the famous Frontier Freeze, novelty ice cream, shakes, candy bars and more!
