Neeleshwar Hermitage is an eco-friendly boutique hotel set on 12 charming landscaped acres along the unspoiled coast of Malabar, Northern Kerala. You will discover a stylish blend of traditional elements and modern comforts. The property boasts 13 thatched cottages containing a total of 18 rooms with either sea or garden views. Each bedroom is large, light and airy, with wooden floors and locally hand-made furniture and is decorated with a mix of antique and contemporary works of art. Each bedroom has its own attached garden bathroom fashioned in granite and wood with state-of-the-art fixtures.
The Hermitage has an extremely peaceful atmosphere and is set within a serene palm grove along the edge of a pristine and tranquil beach that stretches for miles in either direction. It is an oasis of eco-friendly practices such as natural waste recycling, cooking with bio-gas provided by kitchen waste, and the use of only local materials and traditional designs used in the stunningly crafted buildings. The hotel has a ‘no plastic’ policy so all water is purified on site by the most modern method of ‘reverse osmosis’ to avoid using plastic bottles. The Hermitage offers its guests a wide variety of optional Ayurvedic and spa treatments, as well as yoga and meditation classes and a relaxing infinity pool. Optional cooking classes are available, as well as local sightseeing to markets, temples and ashrams, forest treks, and cruises through the unvisited backwaters.
