The Navarro River runs through the Anderson Valley’s majestic redwoods, sunny meadows and vineyards and then curves at River’s Bend to create a still point for contemplation, ecological understanding and deep connection between land and people.

River’s Bend is a retreat center for groups and individuals located on 50 acres of redwood forest near the small town of Philo in Mendocino County. Nestled among the redwoods adjoining Hendy Woods State Park, River’s Bend is a place of natural beauty graced with sunny meadows and the flowing Navarro River.
Visitors may choose to hike or bike ride through the redwood trails, take a refreshing dip in the swimming hole, or visit the library or the magnificent organic garden filled with vegetables, fruits and flowers.
