We will stay in basic but cosy mountain tea-houses on the route, before reaching our home for the retreat: a beautiful Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the side of a green mountain. Several hundred Tibetan nuns and monks share this quiet place of refuge, established by a prominent Rinpoche after his escape from Tibet. During our stay we will gain inspiration from meeting life-long practitioners and will explore yoga practice and philosophy and Buddhist dharma. We are welcome to join the morning prayers in the exquisite temple hall and to eat simply together in the monastery.
The accommodation throughout is simple but clean. You will share a room with another participant of the same sex. The toilets are squat toilets and there is mostly no hot water. It is a chance to connect back with nature and simplicity.
