Venue Description

The name The Pomegranate represents the health giving properties of this wonderful fruit with its ruby red seeds, native to Turkey and the Mediterranean. It also has symbolic and mythological associations with natural cycles, rebirth, and renewal, which we hope you’ll experience on your yoga holiday here!

Huzur Vadisi and Suleyman’s Garden have an emphasis on well-designed simplicity and an authentic experience of traditional Turkish life, close to nature.

The Pomegranate is for those who want a little more convenience and comfort, while still surrounded by authentic and rural Turkey on this unspoiled stretch of coastline.

Staying at The Pomegranate is very much like being a houseguest – it’s a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, particularly welcoming for people holidaying on their own. There is also plenty of space to be by yourself and be quiet if you wish.

The Pomegranate has been designed with great attention and care, featuring natural materials, stone and cedar, and furnished tastefully with wood, rattan and stunning fabrics.

The large and mature gardens offer plenty of shady nooks for curling up with a good book, or simply unwinding.

The Pomegranate can accommodate up to 28 people in single, double or twin bed rooms. The majority of rooms are en-suite and all have air-conditioning and heating.

There is plenty of room for relaxing and sunbathing around the lovely pool.

The yoga shala set amid orange and lemon trees, caters for around 24 people. It is fully equipped with mats, bolsters, blocks, belts, and blankets.

An extra touch of luxury is provided by The Pomegranate’s own marble lined traditional Turkish bath, where once a week you can steam and wash away your stress, and exfoliate ready for your tan. (Needs minimum of 6 people)

On Turkey’s famous ‘Turquoise Coast’, just twenty minutes southeast of the small resort of Olu Deniz, with arguably Turkey’s most famous beach, The Pomegranate is a small oasis of comfort and style, surrounded by rural scenery and small farms. It has lovely views over the sea, and is backed by mountains, where the well-known Lycian Trail has marked paths to take you through the forests and mountains on this lovely section of coastline. The walks start from right outside the hotel. A rocky swimming cove is just over half an hour’s walking distance, and lovely beaches in both directions are around 15 minutes ride away, either by local minibus, or by arrangement with The Pomegranate.

Lovely Kabak Beach, is a just under a couple of hours walk along a beautiful coastal path in the shade of the pine forest or alternatively around 15 minutes drive by road.

Kidarak Beach, near Olu Deniz, is a national park beach, with a small admission charge, which ensures the beach is never full and has lovely sand and beautiful swimming.

There is an optional boat trip taking in the islands and bays around Fethiye, with lunch on board and plenty of stops for swimming in the clear turquoise waters. This can be combined with an optional dinner in the fish market at Fethiye and a browse in the bazaar.

Fethiye is about 30 minutes away and is the nearest large town. Set on a beautiful bay, it features shops, bazaars, seafront cafes, Turkish baths and the ruins of the ancient city of Telmessos.

It is also possible on request to provide day trips to a variety of locations including archeological sites and places of natural beauty, the wonderful ancient Lycian site of Tlos, the spectacular river gorge of Saklikent, and the extensive Roman city and fabulous beach at Patara. Prices depend on numbers.

We have a team of a minimum of two professional masseurs/chiropractors offering a variety of massages and treatments.

The hotel is lovely, the photos on the website hardly do it justice. The rooms are beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Sigi and Mickey took such good care of us and provided us with delicious meals. It is a peaceful haven in which one can comfortably indulge in relaxation and drink in the stupendous views. And if one feels inspired then there are some magnificent walks.

At last, I have found the perfect yoga retreat everything was wonderful. Sigi and Metin are perfect hosts, and the hotel, location and food are lovely. We also had the most wonderful walk, with incredible views of the coast and mountains, led by the lovely Mutlu (Happy) I’ve already reserved a week for next year.‘

If you want beautiful surroundings with lovely rooms, then this is the place for you. We were made to feel very welcome. It was delightful to know that when we had our delicious meals, that most of the ingredients came from the garden or were sourced locally. The hosts, Sigi and Micki are very welcoming and a great help in assisting in travel or activity arrangements. Very comfortable and in stunning surroundings, we will definitely be coming back.
