Here are some more steps you can take to optimize your listing and increase the chances that visitors that find your listing would get inspired by your offering and make the commitment to visit your venue and join your programs. The previous article can be found here.
In our last article we said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, a video is worth a thousand pictures – especially if this is a video of a blissed-out guest praising your venue and programs just before leaving. Nothing compares to first-person testimonials. Another great approach is to have you – the retreat organizer and venue owner, share your personal story on how and why you chose to do what you do, and how your guests would benefit from the service you are providing.
It doesn’t have to be a million-dollar Hollywood produced video – it can be a short clip capture on a smartphone. Just make sure the audio is clear and it’s easy to understand what people are saying.
2. Add and Link Your Presenters
People want to connect with people. Of course, having an amazing beach or a beautiful forest is very important, but at the end of the day, we go through our transformation thanks to the human connection. So make sure your presenters are well represented, with high resolution images and full bios.
To add a presenter, scroll down in the “Add Event/Program” page (or “Edit” the event from the Dashboard for existing events), and get to the “Presenters” section. Start typing the presenters name and see if they already exist in our system. If they do, our auto-complete feature will display their name & image and you’ll be able to select them. If not, please on the “Add Presenter” button and complete the form in the popup.
3. Accurate and Attractive Booking Information
Make sure your listing includes up-to-date and detailed pricing information. Simply put – people are more likely to engage further and deeper with your listing if pricing information is included, detailed and accurate.
Moreover, you can set a sale price, time-sensitive early bird price or last minute offer, so that people would be more inclined to make the buying decision and book your retreat.
