Hanna Jacobs Photography Bio
I am a professional photographer, a journalist and an experienced teacher. For me, photography has become the enabling medium for living a creative life. Through the lens, I learn more about myself, and the world around me.
Although my career started out in journalism, my focus has increasingly become photography. After completing the Diploma in Professional Photography at the National College of Photography in Pretoria, I have lectured in the Cape, Pretoria and Johannesburg, and still do. I now offer my own Photography workshops and courses – mainly in Gauteng, although I often work in other parts of the country and Southern Africa as well. I completed the New York Institute of Photography’s course in Professional Photography in 2012.
Initially, I obtained a Masters degree in Political Science and an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch. While I continue to value these accomplishments, my greatest joy now comes from teaching others how to control their camera, and fulfill their creative vision. I provide personalized instruction to students of all experience levels.
My teaching method fosters a positive learning environment, and as a result, my clientele become hard working, passionate photographers who want to take their craft to the next level.
