Janet Ward Bio
When she was 12 years old, Jane’s mother signed them up for “mother and daughter” yoga classes over in the school gym. A little later, Jane had her first conscious experience of some kind of ‘oneness’ doing yoga at home with Kareen Zebroff’s TV show (from BC).
Kareen’s book “The ABC of Yoga” was always open on her living room floor and she did try every pose from A-Z. She watched amazed as her kid brother effortlessly hoisted himself into peacock and scorpion, and it was life altering. In her late twenties she began to meditate and this opened the door of a new world.
She discovered Kundalini yoga at an ashram in Montreal, and for her, that was a turning point. She had a sadhana; her own spiritual practice – a life raft, a haven. During her Teacher Training well over 20 years ago, she fell in love with the Yoga scriptures and heard them calling out to her and her guitar for new melodies.
Teaching yoga has been her passion and she has taught public classes, on a full-time for almost 20 years. In her most recent years, she has been leading Yoga Teacher Trainings and has successfully taught and graduated new teachers from the 200 Hour Program & Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training. Teaching new Teachers is her absolute passion!
She has since trained in other practices of Yoga, including Yin, Kundalini and Laughter. The sutras keep calling to her, the doors open and the adventure continues. She would be blessed to accompany you on your journey in the essence of Yoga. Together with her Co-Lead Teacher, she welcomes you to join us on your journey and path during our next Yoga Teacher Training.
