Michelle Nayeli, E-RYT 500+
Michelle’s twenty years of yoga practice, thousands of training hours, and a lifetime of dance have woven together with studies in Ecology, Herbalism, Shaiva Tantra, Thai Massage, Contemporary Dance, Capoeira, Tribal Bellydance, and Hoopdance to create a fabric of innovative, spirited, and in-depth teaching.
Michelle has taught yoga and somatic arts internationally at studios, conferences, festivals and retreats for the past fifteen years, sharing the power of movement & playfulness on the mat, in the hoop, and with community. Her message is one of intimacy with life, wisdom of natural patterns, and somatic sustainability. Michelle offers a variety of practices that synthesize yogic awareness, intelligent biomechanics, and the universality of dance as pathways toward the state of ‘yoga’.
In her private practice, Michelle Nayeli specializes in therapeutic yoga-based practice, with focus on supporting healthy movement patterns, adaptability within the body-mind, and encouraging living in rhythm based on the principles of Ayurveda.
A lifelong student of embodiment, Michelle has been blessed with amazing teachers on the yogic path, particularly Tim Miller, Tias Little, John Friend, the global AcroYoga tribe, Christopher “Hareesh” Wallace, Christopher Tompkins, and especially Shiva Rea, whom she continues to assist regularly.
