Sejal Shah Bio
Dr Sejal has been on the path of yoga and meditation for more than 20 years with a dream of world peace and well-being. She is the Founder of Wellness and Life Style Excellence Center (2007-2012). She has 6,500 hours of experience teaching yoga and meditation. She is a member of Yoga Academic Council at Sri Sri University, India. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Homoeopathy (B.H.M.S., Mumbai University, 1993) which established her with a strong foundation for understanding health, in terms of mind-body-soul state. After learning from different schools of yoga, she found Sri Sri Yoga to be “the holistic, complete and very deep practice of all dimensions of Yoga. It touches the very core of our existence and along with other Art of Living practices helps to blossom life to its full potential.” Her gentle, loving, and authentic approach brings profoundness in her teaching. She teaches people of all backgrounds empowering them with education on how to effectively manage their mind and emotions, eliminate stress and bring greater peace and joy into their lives through simple yet profound Yoga techniques. She is the compiler and publisher of the book Spirit of Yoga (2009). She writes regularly on yoga and healthy living in various print and digital media. Currently she serves at the Art of Living Retreat Center, Boone, NC, USA where she also teaches the Happiness Program and Sri Sri Yoga workshops.
